Penny: I have NO idea if raccoons and the bobcat would hurt dogs. Apparently not! I know that when I accidentally let my dogs into the backyard and there is a raccoon out there, the raccoon climbs the nearest tree and plays dead. The bobcat seems to stay in the trees when the dogs are out. My collie/German Shepherd mix (Murphy) (the best dog in America!) is in/out at will - no problems. The biggest problem the dogs (and I) have are tree frogs falling on our heads!
