Raven I live on a ranch so our methods of stump removal may not fit well
with someone in the city. Here we will attach a chain on the stump if we can
and pull it out with the tractor or if it is damp around the root making the
ground soft around the stump but not to bad for a tractor we will us a front
end loader.
If the stump is in a place that is safe enough for a fire we will put
the left over brush on the stump and try burning it out. If you don't have
brush carefully soak it with some diesel and light it. So far around our
place the tractor and chain works wonders.
