Started off to do some consulting Monday and almost immediately returned home. Quickest sore throat
I ever came down with. Having hot and cold flashes, sore throat, lots of phlegm, ache all over,
rats!

By mid-afternoon I was feeling somewhat better so Miss Sleepy Dawg and I went out to wander about
what gardens are left, Miz Anne being away at jury duty. The chiles are loaded with fruit, I picked
over a gallon of sweet chiles, they'll be chopped and frozen today, about a half gallon of mixed hot
chiles, and got my first big Corno di Toro. Been trying for two years to grow those chiles and think
I've found the way - they need lots of cool weather to produce. The single, six-foot tall plant, is
loaded with small, medium and a couple of large chiles, and is covered with blooms. The Aji' Limon
de Peru is also covered with large chiles, slowly turning a chrome yellow. So many in fact that I am
toying with the idea of a yellow hot sauce. What think ye?

Miz Anne broke our agreement on no winter garden this year and brought home broccoli, cabbage,
petunia, torenia (different colors), and some brightly colored Johnny Jump-Ups. the flowers went
into the front beds and she planted the veggies in my herb garden. Guess I'll have to wait to use
that part of the bed again. She also planted some down the west strip garden and even put in some
carrots and lettuce there. Can't keep that woman away from her fresh veggies. Oh well, I like them
too.

I think I'll go lay down awhile.
