We have never been able to regrow lablab here either. The sees I saved in the frig ended up being bug filled and hollow when I pulled them out the next spring. Thankfully, they were in plastic and the larva did not survive. Outside one or two did germinate, but in the grass, not in the garden. They were mowed down despite my trying to make a new bed around them. Course, what would they have grown up? Definitely not the fence that was 10 feet away.
