Hi Everyone,

Got a weird one for you. We have vinca growing in several beds as a
thick ground cover. Love it. But this past year I've found a number of
strands going brittle and drying out. The beds have been there for 10+
years and never a problem before.
This happened repeatedly over the course of last spring through to
now. Just a strand or 2 here and there over time in various parts of
the bed. It's gotten worse over this winter. Maybe 5 to 10 percent of
the total coverage of the bed spread all over here and there.

Thanks for the help,
Matt in Norfolk, Va

Planting a leyland cypress hedge today (yeah, I know).
They wanted $14 for a 2.5 foot Fosters Holly, and they don't grow as
dense. I want some serious privacy *now*. Putting the Leylands on 5
foot centers and they're 3 foot tall now.
Neighbors will disappear by fall of next year. Then I'll spend the
next 20 years hand pruning 3 times a season and cursing my stupidity.
 ;-)
