I would think the investment in one of the have a heart traps would more
than pay off if you could get some fruit even 1 year. If you can find one to
barrow all the better. Try putting one out before the fruits really get
going. Bait the trap with some of their favorite fruits.
     Keep you eyes open for a place WAY out in the country away from you for
a new home if you happen to catch any. Last year I noticed chew holes in the
pears at our other house. Figured out real quick the squirrel there likes to
snack. Well the pears produced more than enough for us all and he usually
got the ones I couldn't reach anyway so I wasn't real upset.
    Now if we had a whole heard of them I know somebody that would be having
squirrel stew and that ain't even a tiny joke. Country folks can enjoy that
stew.
