Hi, Janni, We have sunflowers this year, too....but we never planted them. It seems a neighbor has a bird feeder....and you can guess the rest. Sunflowers appear to die, even in our benign climate, but I am not familiar with the variety you have mentioned, only the "wild ones." Ron
