George, the following is a message I received from my s-i-l on the subject of flooring laminates: Mom, yes, that is exactly what I did for the room over the garage. It was fairly simple to do. I know there are various kinds of laminates. I used real oak strips 5/16" thick with tongue and groove joints. With real wood you need to worry about expansion and contraction with humidity. Follow the directions about NOT making the joints too tight and it should go pretty well. With the synthetics, humidity changes are probably not important. Good luck!, Gino . ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Join Juno today!
