Hi, George, One other thing I learned about the variety we have when I attended the Festival of Fruit, put on by CRFG in Santa Barbara: the flower buds come in two colors, brown and green; but it is only the flowers that issue forth from the brown buds that produce blossoms capable of producing fruit (FWIW).
