My ISP is  having problems with their mail server so if no one hears
from me for a couple of hours that's the reason. BellSouth never, ever,
admits to problems, at least the Lafayette, LA node doesn't. Wouldn't be
surprised if those techies haven't evacuated.

We just got a mandatory evacuation notice for those areas of the parish
next to waterways and in low-lying areas, mostly south of I-10. Luckily
we aren't low-lying or south of I-10.

Folks south of us left this morning and the nearest open shelters are
now 2 hours north of us and no motels with vacancies until you get to
north Texas, NW Arkansas and Tennessee.
