[gardeners] Sunday in the garden - almost

Here it is nearly 4 pm CST and we just saw the sun for the second time
in two weeks. We were at the supermarket and walked out to see that the
rain had quit and there were actually patches of blue sky in the south.
Now we see this bright object in the sky and feel the humidity rising
again.

Unfortunately, until the water drains off in a couple of days there will
be no gardening. The soil is supersaturated and there is standing water
in a number of places throughout the property, just little patches here
and there. I can probably get to the herb garden by tomorrow noon and
maybe to the chile patch on the west side of the yard. At any rate we
are hoping that the rain has gone away for a bit and we can put the
umbrellas away.

I'm still hacking and coughing from the surgery intubation and will go
to the doctor tomorrow to see what she can do to help me get rid of this
stuff. Miz Anne and Miss Sleepy Dawg are both doing fine but not much is
getting done outside.

Life is good.
