We've found 2 black widows this year, one right after the other, while =
picking up rocks in the yard that the contractor just shoved to the edge =
of the woods while grading the yard.
Luckily, I have lots of project for rocks, including a fish pond next =
spring. :)

Frost here in eastern Kentucky the night of November 1 and tonight, =
Nov. 2.
Our first frost - and our frost date is Oct 10!! Late this year. This =
is one
year I'm glad to see frost. It takes away our West Nile infected =
mosquitoes.
I have been infested with granddaddy longlegs since moving here!! =
Frost
takes those away too - thank goodness. It's unnerving for one of my =
dogs to
carry them in on their backs!
I hope the spiders have scattered for the winter as well. There are =
many
brown recluse here - and I've developed a spider phobia as a result. A =
few
black widows - one I saw in my bathroom recently.
I guess this is the deal when one lives in the woods. You gotta take =
the
good with the bad!
