Hello, Olin, I agree completely. Three years ago, I put some supermarket ginger in the ground and forgot about it. The next spring, it came back in spates, flowered and produced enough seeds to plant elsewhere in "vacant" spaces as a background plant. This year, we will harvest some, to see how big a patch we really have:) Ron
