I'm diabetic too Rosemary but not brittle. I eat whatever I want but try to stay below 30 grams of carbs a day. At that rate I keep a fairly normal blood glucose and lose weight to boot. Mostly I eat protein but occasionally, like tomorrow, I will eat some pie, lots of dressing, etc and then go walk around the block a couple of times.
