Margaret: Sounds like your DH is doing GOOD! I have JUST started having to
count carbs. 2 meds by mouth, exercise, low cal diet have done it for me
'til now. No more. I will limit myself (or try) to 45 g carbs at each meal -
less if I can manage it. George astonishes me - with 30 g carbs each DAY!
WOW! Your DH has the formula right - each 1 gram of carb is equal to 4
calories. Ditto for protein. For fat, it's a 9-1 ratio.

George is right. Diabetes is not fun. A tough disease to live with. Holidays
are particularly bad - as is eating out! I developed Type 2 at 43 years of
age and I weighed 110 lbs!! I'm 50 now - and, thanks to diabetes, weigh 130.
About 15 lbs is coming OFF - and soon! :)
