Hi Carol,

I make lots of containers and for me the best basket type gourds are
kettle, bushel, canteen, tobacco box. These are basically round at the
bottom and sit flat. I have used the base of the dippers also if they sit
flat. All vary in sizes. I would also use the ones that are thick walled as
they won't crack on you when you cut or decorate them....
