Hi Pat,
You ask for a suggestion for next season and I'll go out on a limb and
suggest Red Mortgage Lifter VFN. This is a derivation of Radiator
Charlie's Mortgage Lifter with better production, more uniformity, somewhat
smaller size and greatly improved disease resistance. This one is red as
opposed to pink and I find it shrugs off diseases and drought to a
remarkable degree. I have grown this 'mater for five years and have
harvested fruit until frost each year.
