>>I have a spot in my yard on which I want to plant our favorite fruit. It gets about 3-4 hours of morning sun, then mostly heavy shade the rest of the day. Can I use the spot?<< Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but tomatoes need lots of sunlight. I hate to drown your hopes but you need more than twice that much Sun to get decent tomatoes. The plants will stretch toward the light they do get and you will end up with scraggly, spindly, fruitless shoots. Good gardening, Chuck Wyatt
