Here's a thought, Something I started doing before TV was invented.
If I want to find out for myself, then do it for myself. I have been
experimenting with plants since 1948.
On seed start, try a flat of tomato transplants and the excact same
variety seeds at the same time you start your transplants. Keep records and
make a final comparison.
Seeds might work better in your microclim, they might not. Until you
try, you will not have an answer. Just don't "Put all your eggs in one
basket"
