Kudzu is a prohibitive weed. If I recall correctly, it is a plant that is on all state and federal prohibitive lists of the SE US. In other words, if you get caught propogating it, you could be brought up on federal and state charges. This is some serious stuff here. It was orginally imported as fodder and forage for livestock, and it is wonderful as such. However, it is very invasive and has the capability of killing a 50-60 foot mature tree within 5 years. It basically smothers everything in its path. It's growth form is a vine. I know we have a similar problem in our area with Mustang grape. I've seen where it has succeeded in killing 50-60+ year old pecan and oak trees due to lack of attention by the property owners. Fortunately, Mustang and Muscadine aren't as aggressive and prolific as Kudzu. Paul Reynolds
