Terminator seeds..... from the July/August issue of Organic Gardening, page
14:

"Terminator Seed Technology is Only the Tip fo the Genetic-Engineering Iceberg

Monsanto, DuPont, and other multinational agrochemical corporations have
quietly filed more than two dozen patents on genetic-engineering techniques
similar to the infamous 'Terminator technology,' which prevent plants from
producing seeds unless they are sprayed with patented chemicals to trigger
seed production. A new report from the Rural Advancement Foundation
International (RAFI) warns that the companies are creating 'Traitor Tech'
crops that will be physically dependent on their patented chemical
products. For more information, visit the RAFI website at
http://www.rafi.org ."

Just leary of USDA, considering I worked for them as a temp and know how
tied in they are with Monsanto, Dupont and other agro-chemical corps.

I think I'll stick with the heirlooms and save seeds and trade seeds ;)
