It's my first time growing heirlooms...they seem so spindly.  Is this
normal?  The Early Girls I see at places like Home Depot look to be more
compact.  Also, I had transplanted my plants to large pots and most of their
lower leaves turned white and wilted.  All the new growth looks fine though.
I used potting soil and watered with some Miracle Grow.  Should I have
avoided the fertilizer?

It sure has been quiet.  Everyone watching their tomatoes grow?

I have a question.  About five of my 140 plants have little dark brown
specks (freckles)  on the perimeter of the leaves, but not on the new
growth.  Otherwise, plants look healthy.  Anyone know what this is?
