Here is another example of vendors,
I know a chile grower that has tried the same variety of chiles from 3
different vendors.

He claims that there was a big difference. In plant habit, pod production,
heat and flavor.

I have also tried habanero's from Johnny's, Stokes and Wal-Mart.

The ones from Stokes were bigger plants, more pods per plant, earlier
ripening, and hotter.

I have some Pink Brandywines this year, seeds were purchased in Amish
country, ~Smoketown PA~ The few fruits that I have had the taste has been
better than any Brandywine that I have grown. With only 6 plants, only 2 had
excess water cracks, very little green shoulders. Only early blight, This is
the second worst growing season in my area in weather history.

The first vine ripened one without cracks was 1lb 2 oz.

Just another thought on vendors
