Just wanted to introduce myself. I found this list while scooten' around the web yesterday looking for sites about chile peppers, hot sauces, etc. The reason my interest was piqued was because of some sauces a co-worker brought in for me to taste yesterday. I have always liked hot foods, especially mexican & cajun type hot stuff. So he brings in four sauces for me to try: some Jamaican Hot Sauce batch #114 ("pain is good"), Blair's Death, Blair's After Death, and Blair's Sudden Death (the hottest of the four, he tells me). Well, I put a generous helping of Death on my burrito for lunch, but not finding this very stimulating, I dipped the burrito in the Jamaican suace before each bite. Nice and zesty. Then came the real challenge. During an office meeting, he sets the four sauces in front of me and expects me to try them in front of all these co-workers. Well, since I had already had the J and Death, I decided to go for it all, filled a teaspoon with Sudden Death, dipped my finger in and licked the sauce off my finger. A nice sensation, so I finished the spoon full of sauce. The it began to hit me. Then it began to REALLY hit me! What an incredible feeling. Tears of (joy?) began to escape from the corners of my eyes. My head became warm, and seemed to float above my shoulders. The entire inside of my mouth and lips were flaming. As I swallowed, the saliva carried the sensation down my esophogas to my stomach, warming my chest and abdomen. WOW! As much as I like hot stuff, this was hotter than anything I had ever experienced. As the fiery sensation subsided in my mouth, a euphoria overtook me. I hated to admit it, but I found myself wanting to dip into the sauce again. Better judgement prevailed. I simply took a spoonful of After Death back to my office to dip into the remainder of the afternoon. It was exhilarating. My office mates simply could not understand. My question is this: is Blair's Sudden Death considered a very hot sauce by connisuiers? And, what do you people do with this sauce, really? Looking forward to following the chile threads on this list. Nobody else understands the delight I take in this sensation. Daryl
