Right here in my neck of the woods and we are getting recognition! I love speidies and they really aren't vinegary once you grill them. You can broil them if you have too rather than stand in the snow bank and flip them babies but heck, we cook year round when we want and make sure the sifting aroma gets to the neighbors! Speidies are great, grill fast, and leng themselves to experimentation. I usually buy the marinade already made up seeing as it is the original stuff. Lupos is made in Endicott, NY and is great, as well as State Fair marinade. Both come with one for chicken and another for the beef/pork whatever. Lupos also offers others. And as mentioned, the longer you marinate, the better. These are not to be confused with shishkabobs......the originals DO NOT have veggies or anything inbetween the skewered meat. You can but it just ain't the same. I hear that in the summer in certain places around upstate they have vendors just outside the bar room doors cooking up these wonnerful sammiches and make a quick, big buck on them puppies! Give them a whirl......you'll love 'em! P.S. If someone is really dying for the *real* marinade, I would be willing to send some out to you. Bottles of the stuff runs around $3.00 bottle and it's enough to do several batches/meals worth of meat. Linda
