Additional on yellowing- The chlorosis typically associated with viral diseases usually assumes a 'mottled' pattern. We saw a lot of this in Jamaica as the result of a couple of different virus problems. Some affected the veins of the leaf, some the rest of the leaf. Some were very pronounced, some others were not. It is also unusual for viral damage to show up this early in the plants' life. What makes them so insidious is that they can be infected quite early, but not show up until late in the season. Naturally, it comes well after the time you can scrap your crop & try again. -Jim Campbell Mild to Wild Pepper & Herb Co
