[CH] new plants in the garden

Hey y'all,
Well I finally got my garden planted.  Much later than I had planned
because of our crazy weather but oh well.  I noticed a post last week about
the first peppers and maters etc to show on plants, but never saw a
response.  Is it a good idea to pinch off the first flowers/fruits?  I
already have a few tomatillos, tomatoes, and bulgarian carrot peppers -
should I let them stay?  I am in Atlanta so should have a nice long season.
 Honestly who knows this year though.
