I know it is not soup season but this caught my eye. It comes from 'The Friendly Toast' in Portsmouth, NH. I am making this tonight to serve before lobster tamales. Jalapeņo Sesame Soup -------------------- 1 lg onion, chopped 3 T butter 1.5 cups tahini 1.5 qt heavy cream 1 cup veg or chicken stock 1 cup jalapeņos, minced 1 T salt 1 T black pepper 2 t cayenne .5 t nutmeg 1 t ground ginger Saute onions until soft.
