The black molds are often caused by excessive moisture.  It is not
uncommon in habs.  Pitch 'em if you're squeemish.  If cooked, I can
attest that the mold seems to have done no permanent drain bamage :-)  I
cull them out & use them for personal stuff like tinctures or bug sprays
as it does not affect heat or flavor.  It is not limited to the Savinas
(tm) but rather to the growing conditions.
