Well I think she is finally going to have me committed. Last night I got home from work about dark and realized that they were predicting a hard freeze. What to do about my prized pepper plants that I had nurtured all summer??? Time to pick the last of the peppers!! Well, after groping in the dark for about an hour trying to feel all the cayenne's and seranno's on the plants, I decided it was time to just pull the plants up and get the pepper's off when I could see. It was very painful pulling up those beautiful plants but what the heck. When I returned to the house about 11 PM, my dear bride pointed out to me that even my devoted protectors and constant companions (the two Labrador) had come to the house several hours earlier, obviously showing their superior intelligence. It didn't take too long to convince her that this really was a necessary part of gardening and something any normal person would do! Thinking I had convince her I really was sane, I felt good about it UNTIL we were getting ready to leave for work this morning when the last straw broke....."Yes Dear, It was I who took your NEW car out of the garage last night before the heavy frost hit!!! I needed the room for the peppers I cut last night!" Well, the guys in the white coats are here now....but they all have little chile lapel pins on!! COOL! Gotta Go!
