The indonesian chile pastes known as Sambals are very dense, quite dry, usually look very dark red and have some oil in them. Sambal Oelek, Sambal Badjak are the most common. I buy them at a local asian market, however I believe there is a website where they are sold. I will look through my vast file of bookmarks and see if I can find it. You can also use it as a base and add to it if it is not hot enough for you. Most are pretty hot. as is. -- Andie Paysinger & the PENDRAGON Basenjis,Teafer,Cheesy,Singer & Player asenji@earthlink.net So. Calif.
