Hey folks,
Tom Cuneo was kind enough to send me a bottle of his Hab-Hazard
Habanero Sauce to sample and finally I got around to giving it a taste
last night. I tried it on a batch of smoked sausage and rice that I
whipped up. Here is my review:

The Hab-Hazard creators wanted to produce a sauce rich in flavor rather
than just heat. I would say that they have done an excellent job! This
sauce is rich in the fruity habanero flavor that nicely covers up any
"vinegarness" that complements many hot sauces. This flavor also comes
through very well when mixed with other foods but may be slightly strong
with bland foods (I mixed it with white rice). The heat is good...mild
on the tongue with a stomach warming sensation that tends to build on
itself. The consistency of the sauce is also admirable, being slightly
thicker than many other bottled sauces. In fact, I had to tap the
bottle a little! I appreciate this thickness in that it tends to hold
on the food, rather than running to the bottom of the bowl. Overall, I
think a spoonful of Hab-Hazard would be excellent mixed in with chili or
other stews popular this time of year. The flavor is a good complement
to mixed spice foods, and the heat is great for cold evenings or camping
trips.

Thumbs up to Tom Cuneo!

Give it a try,
