Funny I should read your message now, as I just came from the kitchen after 
making powder out of pequins from the backyard!  Still sneezing....
Picked up a Braun electric coffee grinder a few years ago, and it 
works great for making powders.  Pulverizes the you-know-what out of 
anything: peppers, peppercorns, mustard seed, cardamom, allspice, you name 
it.
Makes good coffee, as well.
