Hi C-H's, I also suffer from discomfort sometimes after eating certain chile preparations. It seems to have nothing to do with the zing level of the food. My pet hypothesis (NOT a theory notice!) reinforced by information from this list, is that small pieces of pepper skin and seed become trapped in the diverticulae of the digestive tract and cause painful irritation. There is never a problem with smooth pureed sauces, powders or well cooked (therefore soft) foods. Regards, Cameron.
