Greenhouse-
I don't have one of those yet. Besides, as I've mentioned before,
starting the plants is WAY too critical a job to do myself. I have a
professional greenhouse operation do these for me. I hand them a bag of
seeds & a very large check, 3 months later they hand me hundreds of
trays (300 at 50 plants per tray) of uniform 6" tall chiles. They take
up about 800 sq ft of floor space. I don't have that much sunny space
in my living room. I think my wife would also object....
Plastic-
That is laid by my landlord as part of the even bigger check that I hand
him :-) It is laid with a drag-behind unit. The plastic is 48" wide
with 6" buried on each side. It is a truly ugly sight when part doesn't
get buried and a good wind comes along!
My one BIG year that nearly put me out of business, we laid almost 5
MILES of plastic mulching.
