If you ever get to the point you're willing to sacrifice the seeds, one of my favorite uses for manzanos is to cut them into ~.5 cm slices and liberally place the slices on a pizza. Just about the best pizza I've ever made (though I usually have to take a break while eating--the manzano heat just builds and builds and BUILDS). Such a pizza is VERY attractive as well, with the black seeds in the center of the slices! ed
