Gas is the way to go, I have a Fan Forced wall Oven but when it came to a Cook Top I chose a Gas Unit, Mine is a Cannon, don't think its related to my printer but both have given good service. This is a slim 4 burner cooktop with a fold down lid that is about 1/4 of an inch higher than the benchtop, so it leaves a clean line when its down, Gas has the added bonus of being able to be used to Char that skin on those Chiles. Once you use gas you would never go back to a electric cooktop, more controllable instant heat.
