Horeb, Wisconsin (only about 30 minutes from my current domicile of Madison). Nifty place- a collection in excess of 3,000 different mustards, with a shop attached where you can taste and buy a huge selection of them (and a respectable number of hot sauces, too!) Standard "no affiliation beyond satisfied-customer" disclaimer applies at this point. A funny anecdote I've read in the Madison paper: The curator of the Museum, Barry Levenson, was once going to be featured on a David Letterman segment about people who collect unusual things. In the course of being taped for the show, Barry brought some different mustards for Dave to sample. Letterman insisted on tasting the hottest mustard they had (a horseradish mustard), and incautiously- against dire warning- took a big spoonful of it. According to the newspaper account, he couldn't speak for five minutes, and once he could, didn't say anything for the next ten that could be used on the air. Needless to say, the segment on unusual collections went forward without Barry Levenson and the Mustard Museum...
