I tend to agree with Doug, this list to me is like sitting around a table having a chat with your friends; Digest subscribers probably view it as more of a magazine. I don't mind any questions that my friends (the people on this list) ask, but I don't like being spammed with an advertizement, virus warning, or political or religeous (other than CH and El Grande stuff) propaganda. I have my own ideas on politics and religeon, they're not likely to change. I figure don't ask and don't tell unless asked. Even the religeous topic, "Should chili have beans or not?" must be treated carefully. I don't mind an occasional political or religeous joke (I like God, heaven, hell, Jesus, and Moses jokes a lot), but it is even better if it's chile related. Advertizements, virus alerts, etc are pushing stuff on people that they didn't ask for (and don't really want). To me it's like getting something put on your windshield at the mall when you're shopping. I do wish Jim Campbell, Dave Anderson, Calvin D. (I forget his last name) Susan Byers (chile-woman) and others that have products/plants/seeds for sale would do a little more signature advertizing (4 lines or less) with their normal posts. Some do now, but some don't. Well, that's my two bits worth (inflation, used to be my two cents :-) ) Chuck Demas Needham, Mass. Eat Healthy | _ _ | Nothing would be done at all, Stay Fit | @ @ | If a man waited to do it so well, Die Anyway | v | That no one could find fault with it. demas@tiac.net | \___/ | http://www.tiac.net/users/demas
