The following story came from an old 78 called "Ayuh" It was recorded by a former Dean Of Agriculture at U Mass Who was orginally from southern Maine. A small bird decided not to go South for the winter, The bird found a small chink in my fathers chimney, which looked out onto Mt Washington, The litte bird was cold and hungry. That day my father brought a load a wood, by horse team to the house. One of the horses left a deposit in the driveway. The little bird spotted it a flew down to the pile and started poking through it. He found some bits of corn, barley and oats. Had his fill a flew back up to his little chink in the chimney. After a few minutes, this new protein started to digest and the little bird felt a lot better. So he started to sing softly. As more of the protein finally got into his system he began singing at the top of his lungs. A hawk swooped down and killed the little bird. Now this story is one of those stories that has a moral to it. The moral of this story is: "When you are full of horseshit, keep your mouth shut"
