Seeing as Deb mentioned my method of doing cauliflower(one of them), and not remembering whether or not I had posted that one just to her, I think that was the case, but in any event, here it is...really is not a recipe as such, just a method which came to me one day as I stood there looking at that snow white cauliflower, steaming away, in the pot, so I said to the cauliflower:" I really think you would look better as a yellow flower, instead of a white one!" So, suiting action to thought, I sprinkled that nice snow white head, liberally with turmeric, then added a little sprinkle of salt, and a half liberal (well, OK, a Republican)sprinkle of Calvin's, rather than pepper, and because Calvin's is the color it is, it went very well. Added a pat of butter(marg) and continued steaming, until I could poke a barbecue nail into the middle, removed it immediately to a plate and served it...got raves, but then, from my better half, I always get raves, and have for fifty years!(poor gal!) Cheers, Doug in BC and enjoy the method...incidentally, tried it with broccolli, didnt work the same at all! I have another method for broccolli!
