Interesting.  While hot, I'd say they have the best flavor, especially for
fruit based sauces, marinades and jerks, and for fish.

Smell bad?  While they may put out lethal fumes (occasionally when cooking
with them people can be heard at the far end of the house coughing
fitfully), we find the smell wonderful.
