I have a weather station which calculates heating and cooling degree days. I've never bothered to use the information because it is very sensitive to power blips and every once in a while when I look at it will say 1h3b or something like that. Maybe I should get a better surge protector. I recently saw a book at Barnes and Noble titled "Heat Zone Gardening" which takes another approach. It impressed me enough that I ran home and added it to my bookstore, but I must confess that I haven't purchased it yet. If anyone is interested, they can check it out at: http://www.tough-love.com/page7.html There is a link to Amazon.com who have the book discounted by 30% at the moment.
