Meter experience. I bought my first pH meter from Gurney's Only one avaiable from seed suppliers. At the time. I stuck it a plie of fresh horse manure, aged compost, garden and some road wash. No mater what it did I got the same reading Two years later, I found one by AMI in my local garden shop It was better. The one I got at Wal-Mart fell apart when I tried to use it. I am sure that there are some good ones out there, I just haven't found them yet. I just ordered a Kelway from Vesey's seeds $53.00 Stainless model Hope this is better than the Chinese junk. While I am on meters, Totally Tomatoes has a meter called a "Fertilizer Analyzer" In the ad, they lead you to believe you can read the N P K separately, When you get the meter, you have a scale of 0-3 Scale readings 0 to 1 "Too Little" 1 to 2 "Ideal" 2 to 3 "Too Much" FYI, Attempted 3 times to get a confirmation number for return with no response. I tossed in my "F'd" again pile. Byron
