great question..a friend and i were debating this yesterday..what
is the best way to raise soil PH??
and is wood ash a good way to lower it?

By less than 6 pH, I trust you mean Epsom salts shouldn't be used in
acid soil, because it would make the soil more acid.
But isn't Epsom salt alkaline??
