From: "Firehouse" <bigdave@pe.net> What is your definition of summer savory? Dave According to Richter's (a reliable Canadian Herb source richters.com) Savory (Satureja) is often used in bean dishes and chilled veggie drinks. Summer Savory (s. hortensis) is the preferred savory having a delicate flavor and is the easiest to grow. Winter Savory (s. montana) has a strong, pungent flavor. There also is a nice Lemon Savory (s. biflora) from South Africa. It has an intense lemon scent and flavor and is wonderful! It is very different from other savories. It is really nice with chiles as the lemon/chile combination works well on seafood. Mary-Anne Mary-Anne
