Today was quite a day of Chile shopping... Went to the Bound Brook Shoprite like I said I would. Had a heck of a time trying to find the Bufalo Chipotle, but did. Bought 2 bottles at 99 cents each. Also found 3 different kinds of El Yucateco too - bought the Mayan kind. In the product dept, found habaneros and serranos $1.99 lb!! Bought a few of each - one was 8 cents all together and the other was 12 cents all together. A whole 20 cents worth of chiles!!! At the mall, I got some mall chinese. Asked for the Hot & Spicy Bean Curd and had them put that small thing of hot chile paste on my tray. Both were not hot, at all. usually my hubby likes the chile paste and even he found it had no heat at all. But Thanks to me and my reserve of stuff in my bag, out I pulled my bag of chipotle powder. I sprinkled some in each plastic thing of chile paste and POOF! Heat. Hubby and I were extremely happy then. At home, I tried the Bufalo Chipotle on a blue corn taco chip. Ooooo...nice, a little heat and some nice flavor too. I tried the El Yucateco the same way and Wow! Quite a nice heat and long lasting too. But not as much flavor as the chipotle sauce. At dinner, on my plate next to the meatballs, was a dollop of the Bufalo sauce. Hubby dipped his meatball in and decided it was quite a nice sauce and kept on dipping his meatballs in. I finally gave the bottle to him and said to use it and stop using mine. Which he did! So non-C-H hubby, liked the Bufalo sauce. Said it was hot but had some nice flavor. So finally he is coming around. Thanks to you guys!! Thanks. So, a good day in CHILE VILLE!! Thanks C-Hers!! Thanks for telling me about the Bound Brook Shoprite (whoever you are!) and thanks for giving me the courage to try hotter peppers! I am a happy camper now!! RisaG
