I was awakened early this morning (Thur 04/29) to what sounded like pouring rain...kinda unusual in SoCal in late April, but not unheard of. When I stepped out my back door this morning I found what looked like small snowdrifts...definetly unheard of in Poway anytime of the year. That was hail that woke me up earlier, not rain. Beat my plants up pretty good, but I think they'll survive. I waited until the middle of April to plant this year because of frost in March and early April, which is also kinda unusual 'round here.
