Hi Dave, I appreciate all the recipes you posted - I plan to try the scrapple from scratch soon in crock pot. Here's my store bought scrapple report: I melted some butter in a pan (passed on the bacon grease this time). I cut some slices off the scrapple and put them in the butter.I went for the brown crispy outers. When I went to flip them they broke up. I took the spatula and mashed it all into one piece and continued frying. I dumped a little Calvin powder on and of course the Campbell Apple Smoke Hab flakes. I then got bold and tossed a piece of cream cheese on all that. I put the final result on top of toasted Pumperknickel. Man, this stuff was great! I love a new taste experience! I can't put my finger on the taste but it was different than regular sausage - must be the unique pig parts. But like they say "Parts is Parts"! Rael's Shrimp Grits sounded way cool - those are next on the list. And speaking of grits, it could be time for a challenge with that "Grit Challenged" Attorney. If he will eat some grits I will eat some stuff I bought as a mistake called "Malt O' Meal". Apparently they eat it in certain parts of the country. And speaking of Boat Caulk, I'll bet we could mix grits with Malt O' Meal and come up with a helluva Stucco! John, do you do Patents in your practice? Sorry for the length but I've been away!
