G'day all, I was surfing around trying to find info on the "smaller" pods type of the chile varieties, and I wanted to see who knew what about piri piri chiles. Now I know some will say that there is only piri piri sauce etc, but apparently there is a piri piri chile. Well piri piri chile - if that's really your name, present yourself know to our scrutiny!!!! hi mark thought that I would reply to this note. I have first hand knowledge my wife comes from south africa and the lil peppers are known as piri piri they are extremly hard to find anywhere other that there in a non sauce form . if you can find a friend in africa or portugal the two places were they grow wild, they are a main ingredient in portugese and porto african cooking I have a small cach of seeds that my wife was sent from portugal. if you can get the dried pods that they cook with you can start some plants. I was able to get some of these seeds to grow but I have not had a yield hopefully soon I was told that once they start to produce they do with multitudes of small 1/4 peppers. if I can get my plants to yield then I will offer them to the list but untill then my cach is dwindling fast with my wife using them for cooking. cheers for know mark roache
